I seriously wonder why people think just because he went to find Kikyo means that he loves her more. Anyways, Inuyasha shows in this episode he is held only to Kikyo by guilt and nothing more, he made a promise that he would protect and he broke it, that's the only reason he went to search for her, to make sure she was alive. Now then the whole Darkness in Kagome's Heart, the fact is Kagome never had any darkness at all, the baby was planting suggestions into Kagome's head in the end she lost faith in Inuyasha for that reason, that's why she is able to fight him off, because she stopped listening to what the baby was telling him. Now then Inuyasha did anyone happen to notice that when Shippo told Inuyasha Kagome was in trouble he completely forgot about Kikyo and ran off to go see Kagome. This episode does show how much Inuyasha loves Kagome and how much he wishes to protect her and does. Inuyasha was never as overprotective of Kikyo as he was with Kagome. In the end he showed he loved her more than Kikyo.moreless
  • God it hurts!

God it hurt to watch this. All InuYashaxKagome fans be warned! InuYasha goes back to try and find Kikyo, unaware the Kagome, Sango, and Miroku are in serious danger. His pride leaves him unable to rescue Kagome until the last minute. I believe this is his way of saying "I love Kagome, she doesn't love me, Kikyo was my way out, now she's dead again (or whatever) and I'll take my chances with Kagome", but, eh, it hurts...moreless

This is a good episode to see, Kogame realizes inuyasha strong desire to search for kikio. Inuyasha searches for kikio below the cliff, yelling her name and searching. When inuyasha finally came, inuyasha ask kogame if she was up all night waiting for him. Kogame said yes she was, and inuyasha said that hes ok now and walk past her. They arrived at a town to rest, and than they sensed a town being destroy they went there and started buring bodies until a old man came and said that a priestess was floating down a lake and he took her and said that she is going after naruka. Kogame told him to go and inuyasha went in search for kikio yet again. They were walking and some soldiers from a village took them hostage and took kogame to a different hut. Their naraku recarnation a little boy was placed on kogame lap and he began to combine his soul with hers.moreless
  • Kagome discovers that she is not InuYasha's true love as she had imagined. This is a hard blow for her, but she stiffens her upper lip and resolves to be supportive, in spite of Naraku's efforts to uncover the jealous "dark spot" in her soul.moreless

I really liked this episode for many reasons. First and formost being that Kagome (15 year old teenager) is forced to accept the fact that the object of her affection, InuYasha, has a long history with Kikyo who is his first and only love. While Kagome's love goes largely unrequited, she clings to him in the hopes that he will someday realize he loves her, whether or not he really does. Ahh, the optimism of the teenage years..., so full of jealousy, unrealistic expectations, and angst. By expecting so much of the near feral InuYasha, she makes so much emotional trouble for herself over and over again. This episode makes it very clear that, while InuYasha clearly cares for Kagome, he LOVES Kikyo, and always will. Kikyo is so tragic, and is cheated of the life she could have had with InuYasha so many years ago. Naraku seeks to destroy her, and by association, InuYasha, so the star crossed lovers of 50 years ago are tricked into hating each other. But InuYasha, in the way of classical true love, remains devoted to her, even when she tries to kill him. Romeo and Juliet were lovers of this kind, though they were doomed by the hatred of their families. The only way they could be together was in death, and for Kikyo, the same seems to be the only way she can find happiness with InuYasha. So sad. For perspective, other fans should imagine Romeo being accompanied by Kagome, who falls for him and gets jealous of Juliet. She's the ultimate third wheel and this episode rams that home to her at last.moreless
  • It was hard to see the story this way, Inuyasha is too stubborn to notice how much Kagome means to him 'till the last minute.

    8.0
Kagome's heart just can't help being jealous of the fact that Inuyasha still hangs on the the hope that a dead priestess is still alive. He can't get over her and that makes it hard for Kagome to decide whether to let him choose his own path or not.

Inuyasha should choose which girl he wants and fast, because someone's getting impatient.

    Overall, great opisode!
