Part of this episode and its as good as I hope, what a great episode. Inuyasha and the gang started slaying the bats, but they seem to be more and more comming. The grandfater bat appeared with the child that can put up a barrier. Inuyasha trading striking him but failed the barrier was just to strong, than he tried the back wave and it only bent the barrier but didnt break it. Finally the grandfather said that he had killed her father cause he wanted to protect this village. The girl kicked him out of her barrier and inuyasha finished him off with the back wave. • Inuyasha has to decide wheteher to kill Shiori, a young half demon girl, to strengthen the Tetsuiga or not.

    9.4
To fully understand this episode, I suggest watching Shiori's family and Inuyasha's feelings before watching this one. I'm going to assume whoever is reading this has seen Shiroi's family and Inuyasha's feelings. Shiori's grandfather, Tygo Kumaru is forcing her to keep up the barrier and protect him and the other demon bats. Tygo Kumaru threatens to kill Shiroi's mom if she doesn't keep the barrier up. Inuyasha tells Shiroi to decide what she wants to do, and confused, she keeps up the barrier. Inuyasha and the gang then find out that Tygo Kumaru killed Shiori's father, aka his son. Disguisted, Inuyasha yells stuff at him, and then after Tygo Kumaru attacks at them, Shiori somehow forces him out of the barrier, then with which Inuyasha kills him and the others bats some how die too. Shiroi and her mom are reunited and Myoga tells Inuyasha he has to kill her bla bla bla, and Shiroi's mom acts surprised and Inuyasha decides not to kill her. In return, Shiori gives him this gem that has all the barrier protector's power in it and Inuyasha tries smashing it. But to his surprise, Tygo Kumaru comes out and tries to kill Shiori. Shiori's father's spirt comes and protects Shiroi and her mom from Tygo Kumaru. Tygo Kumaru's power weakens and Inuyasha kills him and smashes the barrier. Tetsuiga then turns red, hence the name of the episode. The end.moreless
  • Inuyasha must decide whether to help Shiori or kill her to make the Tetsusaiga more powerful

    10
Because there's so much action in this one, I gave it a perfect 10. The fact that Inuyasha addressed Shiori and tried to get her to decide what she wanted. Like, from half-demon to another, totally cool. I definitely had a soft spot for Shiori. Not only that, but it had a great twist in the end. The spirit of her grandfather tried to destroy her, but the spirit of her father protected her and her mother. There was little said between Inuyasha and Shiori, but I had a feeling what he would have said.

The ending was also great with Kagome treating Inuyasha like a dog and everyone slightly freaking out just because he's being quiet and thinking. "Everybody needs a little time to think and I'm no exception"- so true, Inuyasha. This ep. definitely ensured my soft spot for half-demons, but I've always had a soft spot of Inuyashamoreless
  • A very emotional InuYasha episode.

    10
InuYasha is still trying to get the Tetsuiga stronger but finds out that he must kill the little girl protecting the barrier. This episode was emotional all the way with Shiori and her mother. The action is great which is always the case with InuYasha. It was also the first time we see InuYasha use the backlash wave after he first learned how to use it. The ending ends with a great mixture of emotions and comedy to end it. I recommend this episode to anyone who loves action, comedy and emotional moments that will leave you stunned. A great emotional ride.moreless
