This show is a lot more intruiging, in my opinion. I haven't found Lost to be very interesting recently and I look forward to Invasion a lot more on Wednesdays. I hope this show becomes successful in the long run.

    Hmm...better than Lost? I don't think so.

But to tell you the truth, I think about the mysteries of Invasion more, and the previews excite me more, although ABC misleads the audience on the previews for BOTH shows, but Invasion doesn't raise as many questions when answering one small one - the clues just build and therefore it's not as frustrating. Like Shaun Cassidy says, it's a lot like a novel.

I stopped watching LOST doe to SHEER BOREDOM but still watch Invasion ..
Invasion works on all levels which other shows are sadly lacking ..
I'm not crazy about Mariel and think her annoying but outside her I think all the others characters are clicking and keeping Invasion a compelling & captivating series to watch ..

I love lost i thought this would be up there with it but god i find it so boring at times - u feel like sticking a rocket up them to get the storyline moving faster. Thats what made Lost work - they gave you jigsaw pieces to fit together but this. i dont get it.
what is up with the sheriff - i dont trust him and his wife is like a dolphin now? the water thing - i dunno im not getting swept away in this i have to sit and watch it and am still clueless by the end of the episode. last weeks werent a gr8 episode so im hoping this weeks will be better. Does it get easier to follow - i need some information as to what is going on at the moment i feel they are leading us blindly - unlike in lost when he caught us up with their back story as well as whats going on - he gave us something so by the end of the season u had half a jigsaw - half the story. Invasion feels like it should be a film so that u can fast forward to the end and find out whats going on only then ull understand the first part.

I feel like you just explained all that sux with Lost.
Invasion has plenty of mystery but doesn't build a storyline up and then forget about the punchline like Lost keeps doing.

    Invasion heading blindly....
No its Lost that is staggering around in the dark relying on 90% flashbacks per episode instead of progressing the main story line.

Take the end of season 1 of Lost. All the build up with the hatch and raft and then a big let down.
They get in the hatch meet weird bloke...weird bloke runs away (and they let him)...clock gets reset...Yawn Yawn

Walt gets kidnapped they wash up back on the island.

I find Lost so tediously boring now that untill something happens to progress it i've given up watching it.

    Anyway rant over

My opinion tends to vary regarding both of the shows. I've found myself getting bored with some of the episodes of Lost this season.
    [SPOILERS BELOW FOR BOTH SHOWS]

Maybe it's because there was such a buildup toward the hatch last season, and when they found it, all we found was a strange guy in a bunker. It was kind of a letdown. The member of the Others at the bonfire wasn't scary at all. He looked more like a plumber or roofer than a Special Forces-type guy who could move through the jungle without leaving any tracks and kill people without being detected.

Invasion started out really slow and the episode with the escaped lab animals seemed completely unnecessary and out-of-place. It has gotten much better over the last 3-4 episodes.

I can't say which I prefer overall, because they seem to vary in quality from week to week.

There's no way that hatch thing could have been satisfying, when you think about it. There was too much hype and build-up.

But in the LONG run, we could all be loving it...we dont know where the story is going with it.

IMHO even the slowest episode of Invasion was turbo charged compared to the last few Lost episodes.

They at least answer one question per episode even if it leads into another question.

It's important not to have multiple threads going that end up as dead ends or simply being forgotten about until the writers sober up and remember them.

I'm not Lost bashing and i really want it to succeed but i've given up watching it until it gets back on track with the island plotline.

While I agree the pace of the question of Invasion is ALOT faster, I still like lost more. Also just to make sure you guys know, most seem to agree as 60% of the Lost audience seem to immediately turn away as Invasion comes on (also I want to add that cause I find that funny).

I also find that very, very funny as well. But this past Lost episode basically told us that Sayid is a torturer, and the Others are merciless. Wow...

imo, Invasion is better than Lost (based on the last few episodes). I don't call Invasion the best show out there though.

I was a complete fanatic for Lost during the first season (it held the title "favorite show" throughout the entire season). However, I don't think the writing for season 2 has been as well as season 1. I'm still watching it though. But it's no longer my favorite. I'm actually almost slipping away.

But JJ Abrams is coming back for Lost next year, so it should be great.

The reason LOST has suffered this season is because he was working on Mission Impossible for a year.

I think Invasion is one of the most underrated shows this fall. But, I don't think this show has much longevity potential. As someone mentioned before, if it gets a 2nd season, that should be it's last.

Lost has gone way downhill this season and I'm not so sure JJ Abrams absence is the cause of it. Alias has had its fair share of sucking despite him being there.

Invasion is, on the other hand, the best new drama this season. (Not counting Rome)
