    Hello,

I have been looking around checking out Invasion sites and have read that there has been interest expressed by the SciFi Channel which plans on reairing the entire season 1 to see if there is enough interest by viewers to pick up the series. There also is concern of the 1 million + per episode costs that the show is said to have.

I do not know how valid this is......I thought it was interesting and wonder how it will play out.

    JOEY

I haven't heard anything about this at all. There's nothing on Sci Fi WIRE, the official news service of the Sci Fi Channel.

Where did you guys get that info.? That would be great if they did, but I am not getting my hopes up until I read it myself. I was under the impression that sci-fi network could not afford invasion. So please, give me a link if possible. Thanks

I also ran a Google search on "invasion abc" and checked out the News links. Nothing. Until I hear otherwise, I'll chalk this up to wishful thinking. It would be great if it were true, but I suspect that it is not.

I haven't had a chance to investigate this futher yet, but a friend of mine told me that Sci-fi is airing promos for re-airing the first season of Invasion, to see how it takes.

Invasion isn't listed on the Sci Fi Channel website. There's nothing in the Sci Fi Channel forums either. Someone should provide a specific link or credible source instead of spreading rumors around. Until this shows up on Sci Fi's site, I wouldn't put much faith in these reports.

Much how I can't imagine Sci-Fi could afford Surface's animation budget, it's the same when considering the cost of hiring William Fichtner, even if Fichtner does seem to have an affinity for science fiction...

I have heard nothing of Invasion being replayed or picked up by sci fi. The only shows to replay there are Surface, which was pretty good, from NBC (which owns Sci-Fi anyways), and ABCs Night Stalker, which wasn't.

Yes it is true. Invasion will be on Sci Fi starting this January Friday at 8:00pm I cannot wait. I love Invasion and am dying to find out what happens in the next season. I sure hope that it does pick up and that they start new production. I can't believe that anyone who'd watch it would'nt love it. Even my husband loved it and he hates watching TV.

Let's all keep our fingers crossed.

Wow Joey, I didn't bother to look at the date of your post. It was 3 years ago. I do know that Sci Fi is going to start replaying the Invasion episodes on this Friday Januaury 23, 2009 at 8:pm. I just hope that this time it will have enough advertisment and will be popular enough for them to make a new season.

They're not restarting production on the show. Sci Fi Channel shows many older sci-fi shows, even during primetime. Most of the actors have gone onto other shows. This is just a re-airing of the only season of the show. Sci Fi isn't producing a new season.

Maybe if it does ok they might at least do a tv movie. I cant see them brining back the series at this point unless they did recasting or something.

they have the time and money its nothing that stops them. its only pissing on their viewers if they not give it a new season, with at least a proper ending to the show. they did it with jericho so we know they can do it if they want, there is no excuses period.

Unfortunately last Friday 2/13/09 @ 2000 or 8:pm when Invasion was supposed to be on the SciFi channel they played Star Trek The Next Generation instead. I was so angry and disappointed! I was so looking forward to Invasion and hoping that they would do a new season. How could they just leave us hanging like they did with Sheriff Underly taking Larken to the ocean after being shot and just end the show? Also all those pregnant drones being taken away by the aliens. I want to find out what happens next! How can they do this to us?
