I have some problems with cliffhangers. I know this ends with a cliffhanger ( I don't want to know more, I'd like to discover this series when I'll first watch it ) but I was wondering what kind of cliffhangers.

Angel finished with a cliffhanger that left you thinking and kind of partly knowing what will happen.

Had Lost ended after season 1, I would have been pissed with the cliffhanger at the end though. As it leads to something and then tells you, well wait until next season to know more.

So will I be disappointed with the Invasion DVD set? Do not spoil anything please (about Lost too by the way, I'm not very far in this series yet)

yeah, you probably will be disapointed if you are looking for a fulfilling ending to a show. but still: you should check this show out. it's fantastic and got better and better with each episode. and in the end it DOES resolve some issues, at least one mayor storyline comes to an end. but you also get the feeling that this is really only the beginning to the story (kind of like the ending to 'surface').

no matter how you feel about the ending: the show is and always will be missed!

I started renting this series because I was totally unaware it had been cancelled and thought it looked like a good one to pick up in second season. Of course I was one disk in when I found out there is no second season but I was too hooked to stop.

I just watched the last episode now, and personally I think it's similar to the feel of Angel. There are still questions, a general feel of where it might have gone, but I didn't feel like "oh my god, how could they leave it hanging on that?!?"

I agree with maxfischer, this is definitely a great series and worth watching.

I was wondering the same thing about Invasion. It is finally getting released in Australia in March and I'm deciding on it.

I thought Angel ended well actually. It was more poignant that way.

Tru Calling on the other hand. The cut off of that left me in shock for weeks.

^ That's my point. Angel's cliffhanger was fine. But had Lost ended after the season 1 cliffhanger I would have been pissed.

I started this topic a few months ago. I've had time to watch all the episodes and I can tell you that the ending is satisfying enough. It does start something else but much of what the season was about goes full circle... in a way. I won't say more.

I think if you start out watching it knowing there is no real ending then it's ok , you shouldn't be too dissapointed with the end 'twas a great show shame no-one had the budget to pick it up again!

To be honest they give you most of the answers at the end of the first series, only a few questions remain. Yes you will be a bit disapointed but Invasion is worth watching.

Why do I feel the whole show is colored with too much contrievances?
I think I am feed up with shows that force-feed us with 'misteries'.

I'm enjoying the show so far, just watched epi 16. I can already tell that theres going to be a cliffhanger and a lot of unanswered questions by the end of it.

in fact for a science fiction this show is more farfetched than usual.

    "mysteries" btw roaring

Thanks "Invasion" fans. Because of this forum I have decided to buy the first season on amazon. It's unnaturally cheap, and it sounds really good. Plus I don't mind cliffhangers like the end of "Angel," because if they had closed more of the doors in the end I would probably just end up mad!

It's an awesome show, and is well worth watching.

tvownsLEXIE, you may find it a bit slow for the first half of the season, but mid way through things begin to kick in, with the last 3 episodes being some of the best on TV ever!

    OHHHH My Goodness!!!!

I finished the first three episodes and just thought, "If it is supposed to start out slow and get better, the ending is going to be amazing!" I loved the first disc so much that I proceeded to sit there and watch the next two discs. But now I'm sad because I'm half way done...

Awesome! I'll advise you not to rush the last 3 episodes. Because once they're over.. That's all there is! And yeah, the ending is AMAZING! But don't get your hopes up too much, because you might end up disappointed.. I doubt it though, because like everyone has said.. It's AWESOME!

Also, Invasion fans.. If you love Invasion.. Check out Pushing Daisies!

I just jumped in and bought the DVD this year, and I highly suggest it to any TV viewer. The ending did not bother me at all!!!! I thought it was going to be a HUGE cliffhanger, but it wasn't that bad. Plus even though all the forum posts I read said that the last disc was the best, I kinda liked the first disc the most. Still, the whole season is really good!
