  • The series is getting so good

Its hard to believe that Invasion will be ending in just two more episodes, but i have to say so far it is going out with a bang. The writing on the show has gotten better with every new episode. The story is complex, intresting and tense. I cannot believe that ABC is letting this show go. I have to admit that it is on eof the ebst SCIFI shows i have ever seen.

Sheriff Underlay is continuing to loose his grip on the town and this charactor Zura is becoming an incresingly bad, badie. I can only hope that in the two episodes remaining of the series we will find answers, but i fear that there is just too much story to finish up in just two episodes

This show is class, why not a season 2?
  • The suspense keeps building up.

The psychotic Szura is giving our heroes some problems. I like the part were the town is about to be hit with another storm. This time it might spell the end of the human race. This conflict which is subtle in appearance is very heavy in subtance as the main characters face their very fears. Things might change for the worse and they might not get out of it. Showing that fear of an impending doom is expressed clearly through the personal battles that the characters are facing. The tension keeps building up, the excitement never seizes. There's more coming, and we just have to hold our breath.
  • i stand corrected about this show

as i have said before some bad critics of the slow story line of this show i have to admit that this episode opend some big doors for a grand finala episode in a few weeks. We always thought thta the cop was the bad guy and insted we can see now how he was betraid by his own people.
  • A lot of set-up, but things are still moving forward nicely...

Even though the pacing has drastically increased since just before mid-season, the writers are still taking the time to build towards the actual invasion correctly. This was a more low-key episode than the past few, and so it wasn’t quite as evident that the story was driving forward. But it certainly looks as though Szura is establishing his beachhead for the imminent takeover.

Way back at the beginning of the season, one of the ideas that never seemed to take hold was the use of the media to keep the population in line. It may have gone away for a while, but here it comes back with full force. The human populace is being told, through the media, that Hurricane Miranda will be striking elsewhere. The reality is far worse: the hurricane is coming right for them, and only the hybrids have been given the chance (and subconscious drive) to prepare.

All of which places the human population in a highly precarious position. Some of them are beginning to suspect that something unfortunate is coming around the corner, but the majority of people seem ignorant as to their fate. The truth may not have helped them; even Russell and Underlay don’t figure out enough in time to save their loved ones from what’s coming.

So it seems pretty clear that Szura has been working towards this moment for quite some time. Underlay became a convenient pawn in the game, and Szura had his hand in the military response and media coverage as well. Most of the success in any military operation is the result of advance preparation; many battles are won before a single shot is taken. In this case, Szura seems to have cleared the area for the hybrids to control, while herding the human population towards possible conversion or elimination. After all, if Szura has been preaching about survival of the fittest, and the infirm cannot be hybridized, why would Szura keep those humans alive?

In terms of the “family” metaphor, the demands of the plot arc force that to play a smaller role. Still, it is present, especially in terms of Russell and Underlay. The message here is that the battles within have to be set aside when there’s a threat from without. Szura’s plan will affect all of them in a profound way, so the power struggles have to be set aside. The real question is whether or not it’s too late.

  • Intense, Interesting, Fast-paced

These final episodes have all been very intense and fast paced. We're finally seeing where this is culminating. I know that there was some upheaval in regards to some of the episodes being drawn out and not very interesting. However, I think that in the end, it's making these last episodes even more dramatic.

I've always been a big fan of episodes that help us to understand our characters so much better. Rather than having super intense episodes just for the sake of having excitement. Sometimes, the excitement doesn't make sense if you don't know the people which the story is revolving around.

I just loved this episode ... it flew by, and really made me increasingly excited for the season finale!!!

    another Grade A episode!!!
  • I think this episode was by far one of the strongest in the series to date. From beginning to end, I found this episode to be much more organized in the way it dishes out information.

We learn so much about some of the characters like Rose's teacher, Russell's park ranger friend and Tom's deputy's. It tried to deliver the message that we cant draw conclusions about others by the way we act, and sometimes even people who have not been changed, may still not be good people.

Seeing the hybrids all under the water waiting was really incredible. Also its good to see Tom and Russel working together, as well as, Mariel and Larkin.

The preview for next week looks fantastic. I cant wait!
  • Tom Underlay, knowing Szura can no longer be trusted decides to go after him. As the weather worsens, Russell and Underlay try to get their families to safety.

This episode was outstanding. In fact, this show gets better each and every week.

The focus of this episode was the weather. The hybrids know that another hurricane is bearing down on Homestead, something that everyone else seems to be oblivious to. Russell and Underlay, aware of this decide to work together to get their families to safety. They know that the hybrids are no longer on the island and are preparing for something big.

Tom Underlay, realizing that Szura can no longer be trusted, decides to go after him. He apprehends him, but unfortunately for all involved, Szura manages to escape. This gets Tom’s attention that all may not be what it seems at the Sheriff's department and that loyalties may lie elsewhere.

With everyone finally together and getting ready to leave, Dave decides to remain behind to document everything for proof of what's really happening in Homestead. As they are leaving, Tom and Russell tell Mariel and Larkin that they are staying behind to take care of Szura and the hybrids, and that they and the children must go on to safety.

I can't wait until the the 17th for the finale. This show is on fire.

Hurricane Miranda is descending upon Homestead, despite what the offical word. Russell and Tom join forces to get their blended family the heck out of Dodge before the lights begin to rise and the rest of the town is invaded by the new species. Along the way, despite himself, Dave falls hard for a lady previously perceived as a villain.

Meanwhile, Jesse lessens his heavy guilt load to terminal sad-sack Lewis as well as to his dad a certain subject we all along suspected. Szura continues his evil plans, one of which involves menacing innocent parties -- specifically Kira. There is an impressive betrayal sequence as well as a crowd-pleasing bit of much-needed violence.
