In the scene where Christina stabs Moldiva, two shots of the knife entering and exiting his body were cut from the re-broadcast on ABC Family Channel.
Tom: We all go back to the place we were born, Lewis.
Tom: The law does not apply here, Lewis, because there's no precedent for our existence. If I'd allowed that girl to enter the prison system, the world would think that we all behaved like her, and we'd be vilified. And I cannot let that happen. I must protect my people.
Kira: (to Christina) You're crazy! Christina: (threatening Kira with a bloody knife; matter-of-factly) Right.
Tom: (to Lewis) I must protect my people.
Kira: You're married? Christina: (low) Not anymore.
Larkin: You can hang out with your ex-wife as long as you want to, just as long as you come home to me. (kisses Russ' forehead and leaves the room) Dave: (deadpan as he eats) And me. (The guys grin.)
Rose: Are you looking for monsters? Russell: No, honey; there's no monsters. Rose: It's okay, I'm not afraid. As long as they stay in the water.
Russell: (starting the needle biopsy) Try to relax. With alligators, I'm pretty good, but with ex-wives I get a little shaky.
Kira: I don't have to be like you. Christina: What? Kira: Even if I'm changed, I don't have to be like you. (Kira walks into the ocean)
Christina: (impatiently) Derek, would you please take Mr. Moldiva to the pool.
Christina: (after stabbing her former employer; jauntily) So, let's get this party started!

It's possible that Russell and Mariel first met during freshman year at the University of Miami. When he is testing her blood, he says it's like freshman year at U (of) M.
Although credited as a star, Aisha Hinds does not appear in this episode.
From the initial blood test Russ and Mariel performed at the ranger station, Mariel's blood has higher levels of the following: *Hemoglobin *White blood cells *Lymphocytes (which make up 25 percent of white blood cells) The hemoglobin is presumed to be the reason for the alien hybrids' ability to stay submerged under water for extended periods. (Hemoglobin brings oxygen from the lungs to the tissues of the body.) But lymphocytes and white blood cells are defensive and considered "macrophages"- cells that destroy infectious agents and toxic substances. Perhaps her body is fighting off the presence of foreign tissue while the alien tissue is simultaneously providing benefits in the form of the additional hemoglobin.
This episode was originally titled, The Camp.
Christina: ...your daddy sent him to Devil's Island.--refers to the infamous French prison on one of the three Iles du Salut, off the coast of French Guiana. It hosted hardened criminals as well as political prisoners.
Christina: So, let's get this party started!--reference , more likely, to the hit song by the singer Pink, though there is also a song by that name by Korn.
