Invent This!

Show Summary

Invent This! is a TV series which debuted on September 2003 for TechTV, a defunct cable network in America. The show is about modern-day inventors who have natural talent in transforming commonplace things to useful inventions. Most of them are ordinary people but have intriguing stories behind them. The producers of the series search all over America for the best inventors and feature them in documentary-like films. The inspiration behind the series is the famous inventor Woody Norris whose passion led him to make state of the art inventions. An example personality introduced in the series is Bob Iannani, writer of the DIY hobbyist book "Electronic Gadgets for the Evil Genius." This series consists of only one season due to the merger of TechTV with G4 on May 2004, resulting in the dissolution of not only Invent This!, but most other shows they produced. The series consists of 13 half-hour episodes, aired on a weekly basis.
