  • Explaining how things we now take for granted came to be and where they are going.

    9.0
Jeremy Clarkson explores the histories of five of the most revolutionary technologies ever invented that we now take for granted in everyday life: the gun, the computer, the jet engine, the telephone and the television.

Through reenactments, we meet some of the inventors and learn what made them tick. Certain myths about each invention are debunked and the development of each machine is shown, as well as various comflicting ideas on who started each one (there is a heavy British slant at some points of these segments, which is to be expected from any Clarkson series). Not only do we learn about the past of each item, but what is being done to advance the technologies, and ideas for the future are discussed.

This is a fun series and is a great way of learning while being amused at the same time. Another job well done, Mr. Clarkson!moreless
