  • good episode...

The iron chefs team up with two food network stars. Flay teams with Giadia and Batali teams with Rachael Ray. The theme was cranberry. Interesting. I liked the team ups and the iron chefs fighting against each other. I also liked seeing competitors that are not really chefs compete. I really liked the duo of Mario and Ray. They were great together. I am not fond of Giadia in the first place, so I was rooting for Mario and Ray to win the entire time. Overall, very entertaining, interesting episode. Alton Brown did a great job like usual and the chairman was weird, as usual.moreless

    • Alton Brown: Okay, the Iron Chefs are primed and ready for battle. But, folks, I understand that today they will not be competing. Why, you ask? Well, because our Chairman, culinary trickster that he is, has a playful diversion in mind, a flight of fancy without precedent here in Kitchen Stadium. Now, I am but the Chairman's dutiful servant, I have no knowledge of his curious plan.

    • Mo Rocca: I'm a little disappointed. I was hoping that Rachel Ray was gonna do a little bit of a Lucy Richardo thing and crush cranberries with her bare feet. I thought that would be kinda fun.
Alton Brown: There's time yet. I'm sure that feet-mashing could certainly be coming down the line.

    • Mo Rocca: (to Giada De Laurentiis and Bobby Flay) This is interesting because this is the teamwork dish and I feel that from certain angles the two of you look like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, so I'd like to call this dish Brangelina.
      Bobby Flay: Crangelina!
