      • Ironside: (talking on the phone to Fran) All right, go back into Joe and Sid's military background, the States, Vietnam, company squad, all associations and background.
        Fran: That it?
Ironside: Look into their personal lives, their habits, dope, liquor, other women, etc.
        Mark: (defensively) Come on.
Ironside: That should keep you busy for awhile.
Fran: It will. Now hold on. Ed wants to talk to you.
Ed: Yeah, I covered the area. Just about every shopkeeper and businessman was on the boys side pulling for them to make good.
        Ironside: Just about?
Ed: One exception. A Mr. Henry Garrison, he works at the Standard Lumber Mill on Townsend. He bid against the boys for the service station franchise and lost.
Ironside: Henry Garrison, I've got it, we'll drop over to see him now. Back in about an hour.

      • Garrison: I had the first bidding with that oil company for that gas station franchise. But no, they were veterans. Not only that, but they were black and white. They got a saying for a combination like that. It's ah...
        Mark: Salt and Pepper.
Garrison: Yeah that's it. It's kinda funny but it makes for a good image with the oil company.
