    • Ed: Billy, do you know why you're here?
Billy: I did a bad thing.
Fran: Well, that's what we're trying to find out, if you did or not. Do you know Mr. Morrison?
Billy: He's my friend. Sometimes we fight.
Ed: What do you fight about?
Billy: Because I do dumb things.
      Ed: He ever hit you?
Billy: Sure. He likes to show how strong I am.
Ed: Did he ever hit you in anger? When he was angry with you?
      Billy: Sometimes.
Ed: Did you ever hit him back?
      Fran: Did you, Billy?
Billy: I didn't really hit him. I didn't want to hurt him. Mr. Morrison's good to me. He let's me stay in a room, bought me a book once.

    • Mark: What exactly did you buy here?
      Pip: All kinds of things.
      Mark: Mostly what?
Pip: Most of that stuff that goes into the success potion.
Mark: Just for fun or did you girls have something specific in mind?
Pip: Oh just for fun. Except Judy said that we should make a spell and get raises in our allowance. Just to see if it worked.
Mark: Naturally. When did you start reading all this black magic and stuff?
Pip: It's not black magic. We didn't want to become black witches. We wanted to do white witchcraft.
Mark: Okay. So you were curious, you passed the Witches Brew shop a few times, and it turned you on.
Pip: I didn't know I had the power.
Mark: You don't have the power.
      Pip: But Mr. Morrison...
      Mark: Billy pushed Mr. Morrison.
Pip: After I said what I did.
Mark: And what did you say?
Pip: I said--I said I wished he'd fall down... and die.
