David: (starting to remember) Chief, Chief, something just came back to me.
David: Sounds, like--like footsteps, hollow footsteps.
Ironside: You were dreaming?
David: No, no, I've never been so awake in my life. It was like the sounds were coming out of wood, like kind of boardwalk, a dock.
Ironside: At a boat basin, a marina?
David: Yeah. A cabin cruiser. There was a fight.
Ironside: With whom?
David: No, no, I wasn't fighting.
Mark: Hey, but you've been roughed up.
David: There were two men... fighting, hurting each other.
Ironside: On the boat?
Ironside: Then you went aboard?
David: I must have. I'm not sure but I think there was a man lying on the deck unconscious.
Mark: What happened to the other guy?
David: I don't know. Water, uh, a--a faucet, some kind of valve being turned on. I remember the sound of water coming into the boat. It's no use, I can't put the pieces together. It's just a lot of fragments. What's keeping Ellen? I ought to be in a hospital.
Ironside: Not yet, Mr. Wills.
Ironside: You've painted a frightening picture. If you did hear water coming into a boat, and if you did see a man unconscious on the deck, unless we find out more and fast, that man is going to drown.
