      • Mel Grayson: Bob, when I walk out of my office at night, there isn't much time left for anything.
Ironside: Perhaps you should live in your office the way I do.

      • Ironside: Get the Coroner's Office on the phone. I want the time of death pinned down to the exact second.
Eve: Chief, you know that can't be done. (Ironside glares at her) Yes, sir.

      • Ironside: Ed, somewhere, somewhere there's a hole in Paul's alibi. I'd like you to find it.
        Ed: I'll try.
Ironside: Sergeant Brown, it is the considered opinion of this office, the unanimous opinion, that Paul Dekes is guilty. Now, what does that statement suggest to you?
Ed: Somewhere there is a hole in his alibi.
Ironside: Glory be. Thank you, Sergeant. Always a pleasure to see my faith in the intelligence of my colleagues justified.
