Gil Peters: (to Ironside's team about a new crime wave) We have a feeling that the victims don't give us the true story. The victims generally wake up the next morning with a headache, an empty wallet and an acute case of embarrassment. They report the credit cards as lost and go home. By the time we get on to it, we're too late.
Dennis Randall: We're right in the middle Bob. They want this racket cleared up but they want it done quietly. Ironside: Quietly isn't going to produce immediate results, hoping either posters, pamphlets, tv, newspaper... Dennis Randall: And alot of conventions are going to think twice about coming here if they get the impression here that the city isn't safe. Ironside: No city was ever safe for people who accept invitations to strange rooms. Dennis Randall: You can't change human nature, Bob. Ironside: And the city can't have it both ways. Dennis Randall: You know that, but apparently the city fathers do not. My orders are to clear this up in a hurry with the least possible noise. Ironside: Except for me.
