Is It Real? is an American television documentary series that ran from 2005 to 2007 on the National Geographic Channel. The series examines the various popular or persistent mysteries of such paranormal and supernatural characters or phenomena as spontaneous human combustion, Unidentified Flying Objects"better known as UFOs, Bigfoot, Ghosts, Exorcisms, etc. The show sheds light on one topic per episode, at first skeptical but occasionally growing more convinced as they attempt to gather purely scientific evidence for or against each tale. Not just for Halloween, the show presents its findings in such an interesting, not just purely horrifying, way that viewers can enjoy the episodes at any time of the year. After all, who has not met someone who has claimed to be psychic or heard of a case in which a murderer claims that his actions were due to a case of extreme sleepwalking? With Is It Real? viewers can see the evidence around the topic, both for it and against it, and draw their own, more educated, opinions of the matter.moreless
