Why is it not airing on TV anymore? Did it get cancelled or something?

it didnt get cancled but no one knows if it will be renewed. the break between season 1 and 2 was about 7 months. so we'll just have to wait and see.

a post on the discovery forums said they have stopped produciton on the show.. and that was in april..

The show isn't in repeats currently and there hasn't yet been any word about new episodes, but there's been no official cancellation announcement either. So it's quite possible it could be back. I'll guess we'll have to wait and see. Oh, and Matt Johnston and Jon Douglas Raimey appeared on a "Myths, Lies and Downright Stupidity" episode of 20/20 tonight. They were there to help with a segment about flaws in home-security systems.

Just though I would update. As of now, ITaT is still in reruns most weeks, Monday-Friday 5 PM EST. There is still no news on whether or not Discovery will be ordering another season but if I hear any news I will be sure to post it.

I just wanted to let everyone know that as of this past Monday [9/29/2008], It Takes A Thief has been taken off the Discovery Channel Lineup, and has been replaced by Cash Cab.
I'll let everyone know when It comes back onto the lineup.

Reruns were back on Discovery for a few hours earlier today. I don't know if this will be an ongoing thing or not but I'll let you know as soon as I find out.
