I really enjoyed this episode. Some of the one-liners throughout the episode had me laughing until it hurt. Mac saying that the streets 'are filled with the ejaculate of the homeless' was priceless, and depicted writing and acting at it's best. This episode mainly revolves around Dennis and Frank buying a police car from a junkyard and abuse their (fake) powers of authority, while Charlie does a wonderful Al Pacino as 'Serpico' throughout the episode, and Mac and Sweet Dee having the best intentions of trying to make the area around Paddy's a safer place to be, but not getting much progress or help from the real police force. In fact, they end up getting mugged. This show is phenomenal and I can only hope that next week's Season 3 finale is as superb as every other episode has been thus far.moreless

    ADD ALLUSIONS
    • Charlie: I'm gonna become Al Pacino in Serpico. Throughout the episode, Charlie tried to mimic Al Pacino's performance in the 1973 film, Serpico, which is based on the true story of former police officer Frank Serpico who testified in 1971 against the rampant police corruption within the NYPD.

    • Dee: We look like Rerun. This is a reference to the character, Freddie "Rerun" Stubbs from the classic 1970s sitcom, What's Happening!!. Portrayed by Fred Berry, a red beret and suspenders were part of Rerun's regular attire.

    • Dennis: Plus we need room for Agent Bauer. Dennis named his cat after Jack Bauer, Kiefer Sutherland's character on the FOX tv series, 24.
