A very, very peculiar episode of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Again Dennis was great, and he continues to separate himself from the rest of the cast as the only potential star on the show, but the rest of the episode was fairly strange. We had a Cool Hand Luke reference and the whole storyline about the book of sex stories just seems so beneath this show. They're struggling too hard to define the characters where in the first 3 seasons they were strong enough to excel in any environment. The characters were written well, but now the show is trying too hard to come up with stuff for them.moreless

    • Twin Girls: Come play with us forever and ever and ever. Dee's hallucination scene in the hallway of Charlie's building when she encounters twin girls reciting this line is an allusion to a similar scene from the 1980 film The Shining. Edit
    • Mac: Dude, you don't want to end up like that Million Little Pieces guy, all right? Oprah made him look like a total dick. This is an allusion to James Frey, the author of the book A Million Little Pieces, which was endorsed by Oprah Winfrey, but later proven to contain numerous fabricated stories pertaining to Frey's life as an alcoholic and drug abuser. Edit
    • Mac: Dennis, you were never the personal sexual advisor to Jon Bon Jovi! This is the first of numerous references in this episode to Bon Jovi front man, Jon Bon Jovi who also co-owns the arena football team, the Philadelphia Soul. Edit
