Well, this certainly wasn't as insane and out of control as previous episodes this season, such as the mortgage crisis episode, or the intervention one, but the simplicity of the plot lead to some great laughs. Its Always Sunny used to be a show that didn't have to reach too hard to find an interesting plot, and this reminded me of why I loved the show so much in the first place.

Everybody had some great moments in this episode, and nobody seemed to be too out of control. My favorite part was easily Charlie and Frank's "gruesome twosome" dance, which consisted of humping the air in front of them and grunting like a pig. Also, Mac and Dennis' obsession with one another was pretty funny at first, although I feel they beat that horse to death about halfway through the episode. Also, I agree with what other users on the site have said: the show has done a great job of creating rivalries and arguments between Dennis and Mac, which makes it somewhat strange when the two act like they're best friends.

However, Charlie really seemed to steal the show here. He had so many great lines that it's hard to focus on just one. And Frank cutting toe nails with steak knives and getting recommended by Charlie to throw trash on it instead of a band-aid? Priceless.

It's Always Sunny has really been on their game this year, and hopefully, they can end the season on a high note instead of just fading out. This show is one that seems to just get better with time.
  • Good, but not great.

I liked this episode; I got quite a bit of laughs out of it. But it definitely isn't one of the stronger, series defining episodes that Sunny is full of. I enjoyed seeing a glimpse of Mac And Dennis' home life. (There has been far less of it then Charlie and Frank's.)

The better part of the story for me was Dee's cat situation, though. There was quite a bit of laughs in that. And having a weird cat, some of the jokes did ring home a bit. The Mac, Dennis relationship story seemed quite a bit weaker to me. The whole idea that they are that close contradicts the way they act towards each other in earlier episodes. And honestly the whole "Close male-relationship" story has been way over used in too many TVs shows to be creatively funny these days.

I'm giving this episode a 8.5. There have been worse episodes, but also a lot of far better ones.

What a good episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Not an amazing quote throughout the entire broadcast, nor was there truly a daring, innovative storyline here, but the whole episode was just funny, for lack of a better term. From the cats in the wall, to the Mac and Dennis bromance, the ratio of laughs to minutes was probably 3 or 4 to 1. If the show would just have a simple plot like this, and let these great characters improvise and be themselves, nearly every episode could be this good. You can't ask for much better than this. Definitely one of Sunny's best installments so far this season, and it's going to be hard to top this.
