Episode Summary

Believing that they were slighted by a patron at another bar, the gang attempts to track him down so that they could get a little revenge. Charlie and Dennis inquire about the guy through others, while Mac and Dee resort to cyber-stalking. Left to his own devices, Frank also uses the internet in order to garner more business for the bar.

The gang gets shushed would be an equally good name for this episode

Another episode penned by the main cast, and another great episode of the show. I think this season has been slightly erratic so far, with the show hitting some pretty high highs and sinking down to some lows (Frank's Brother is probably the worst episode the show has penned to date). However, last week's was great and this week's was great for basically the same reasons. The gang arguing over each other is what they do best and there was plenty of that here, and even when the group split up, it helps that they all had hilarious plots.

Dennis and Charlie, who don't get enough scenes together, had the best scenes. After the gang gets shushed at the bar, they take offense to it, and while Frank goes off to make a viral video to improve Paddy Pub's presence, the rest of the gang tries to figure out who the shusher is and shush him back. Charlie and Dennis hang out at the gin bar (which according to them is the worst drink) and wait to find the guy again and end up resorting to visiting the police station to have a portrait of the man drawn up. Of course, as a result, they have to make up a crime and hearing Charlie detail the crime (Dennisapparentlygets raped by a not-so-well endowed guy; meanwhile, Charlie Day seems ready to burst out laughing at any second). After that plan fails, they go to one of those guys who draws goofy big-headed cartoon versions of people and they use that drawing to make advertisements about the shusher. It's soridiculousbut so hilarious at the same time.

Meanwhile, Mac and Dee resort to Facebook to find Dylan Toback, the name of the guy who shushed them. All they discover as a result is that people are not always entirely truthful about their information. The funniest parts of their plot was Mac. Mac was hilarious here, getting frustrated when the people were taking too long to describe stuff and freaking out when he learns one of Dylan's friends has nude photos online. I'm really looking forward to the episode where we learn how Mac got fat.

This was definitely another great episode of the show. Let's hope they can keep up the good work.moreless
