It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia

Really funny episode of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia. The show still fails to reach the standards set by the first three seasons but this was good way to end its fourth cycle.



Usually singing on sitcoms is very awkward and just does not produce any laugh out loud moments but the opposite was true here. The songs, especially with Frank singing were absolutely hilarious. Mac and Dennis' interactions on stage were well-done and the kind of thing that only Sunny can give you.



And of course you cannot forget the return of It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia's best moment: the Dayman song. Just a really good half hour and one of if not the best installments of the season.

The original episode about Nightman vs. Dayman was amazingly funny and unforgettable. So imagine my surprise when they introduce a weird musical about it. The spandex leotards and amusing outfits are back, and this episode is just phenomenal. It is so representative of the obscene, crude, and completely inappropriate nature of the show and everything the show stands for. A pedophilic relationship between Dee as a princess and Dennis as baby boy (who morphs into DayMan after being raped by Mac) and Frank portraying a creepy little troll. If that doesn't sound extremely entertaining to you, this is not the show for you!

This was a very solid episode of the show because it was very consistent with all the characters. It had a classic Charlie line ("I'm gonna slap your face off of your face"). But most importantly, it resuscitated the beloved Dayman/Nightman characters. Charlie decides to write a musical based on Dayman/Nightman. He invites the waitress to come and see it, promising her that if she does, he will stop bothering her. He then convinces the gang to play the parts in the show. Dee plays a princess that is essentially the pedofilic lover of Dennis' baby boy character, who eventually becomes the Dayman after he is raped in his bed at night by Mac's character Nightman, after Frank's troll character grants him access to the "Boy's soul" which sounds suspiciously likes "Boy's hole" when Frank sings it in the musical. There are several funny parts in the musical because Charlie, Dennis, & Dee keep on either making mistakes or adlibing. This was actually not one of my favorite episodes, but I rate it highly because it was a high quality end to the season and was done pretty much perfectly for what it was trying to do. Also, the twist at the end of the play is absolutely one of my favorite scenes in the show. The musical is very high quality and very well done, and a showcase of what was probably Charlie Day's musical and comedic talent. I wouldn't be surprised if a few tears during the musical, weren't just tears of laughter, but tears of appreciation for a show that just consistently comes up with new ways to entertain us.

Very very funny. Personally I believe that this is the funniest episode of the show and definitely one of the funniest episodes I have ever seen on television. The musical is so brilliant with actually decent music. Who would have thought that rape could be so funny? The funniest scene in this entire episode is when Danny Devito sings his song to Mac about "filling his soul" but he clearly mis pronounces "soul" and says "hole" instead. It makes me sad that this is the final episode for a while but I cannot think of a better way to end this season.
