It's The Wolf

Show Summary

Episodes: 26 Color Episodes

It's the timeless story of wolf sees lamb, wolf chases lamb, hound pummels wolf, wolf loses lamb. In this case, Mildew chases Lambsy in every location possible, only to get clobbered by Bristle Hound. It was originally a segment of The Cattanooga Cats on ABC, then it became the middle feature of Motor Mouse the next season when that show broke off from Cattanooga Cats.

  • Paul Lynde pulled a trifecta!

    7.1
It's not often that a tv star has done all three networks (before 1986). Bill Cullen & Dick Clark have achieved that feat.

And in 1969, Paul Lynde pulled it off doing Hollywood Squares on NBC, The Perils of Penelope Pitstop on CBS & (guesting on Bewitched) It's The Wolf on ABC.

Strange that Paul wanted his name off the credits on both cartoons.

As for the series, I enjoy hearing Lambsy cry "It's The Wolf!" Only Mildew Wolf would resurface as a play by play announcer on Laff-A-Lympics (except this time, John Stephemson took over the chaacter's voice).

That same year, Alan Melvin would become Sam Franklin, Alice Nelson's boyfriend on The Brady Bunch.moreless
