Recurring Role |
Bobby (to Peter): Why is it that every time you're distracted people think it's a girl?
Peter: Might be your age, or your gender.
Jack (to Grace): You're not even going to yell at me or anything?
Grace: This is way bigger than that. What can I tell you about consideration and precaution that you didn't just learn?
In the original script of this episode it was supposed to include scenes of Grace droppping Missy (Keri Lynn Pratt) back home and her father after her "procedure" and meeting her at the door as he invites her back in as Grace (Christine Lahti) looks on with worry in her car. These scenes were probably filmed, but they were editted out due to time.
Jack & Bobby becomes one of the few handful of series that have dealt with the topic of abortion and have actual character have one. Previous TV series to deal with the issue were Everwood, Maude and Soul Food. Despite major press attention on those shows Jack & Bobby luckily did not get any bad press.
This is the second episode to not include scenes of people talking about pivotal moments in Bobby's Presidency. The first was "A New Frontier".
Even though he is credited Marcus Ride (Edwin Hodge) does not appear in this episode.
