Jackie was a glamorous, dynamic newspaper columnist for the Chicago Mirror, who was always after a hot lead for an expose or just a warm human interest story. Mike was a successful restaurant owner who operated two of the city's trendiest clubs and was about to open a third. Though they were married and very much in love, their careers kept getting in the way. Other cast members included: Nora, the city editor; Anthony, a reporter at the Mirror; Carol, the head waitress at Mike's new "Brennan's Grill" and Rick, an attorney friend that was seldomly seen.
