    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (2)

      • Nitpick: Napoleon uses what appears to be a form of the Gatling gun against Jack, claiming he picked it up at the last Expo. The Gatling gun wasn't invented until 1862, over sixty years later.

      • Nitpick: It seems strange that Jack would wake up naked with Emilia, but his hair would still be tied back in his usual queue- that's the one thing most people would be sure to remove before going to bed for the night!

    • QUOTES (5)

      • Emilia: (when Jack says that being gossip fodder is no big deal) Well, it's easy for you to say, Jack! You prance around the streets, and men think, 'Oh look, there goes the stud.' I go around and they think, 'Open all night!'

      • Emilia: (when she and Jack wake up naked together) Oh God! I wish we were dead.
Jack: Hey, I'm starting to take this personally! How bad could I have been?!

      • Jack: You mean we didn't play yank my doodle it's a dandy?

      • Emilia: I'm not the type to go out on a limb. Especially yours.

      • Jack: Look at the bright side. At least we'll go down in history.
Emilia: Oh. Going down for getting down isn't exactly my idea of an epitaph.

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      • Wine Label: The Grapes of Wrath

Napoleon's new wine has the same name as John Steinbeck's 1939 novel of Depression-era migration to escape the Dust Bowl.
