There's asurprising bit of humor in this episode -- a drunk Bud singing the old Tom Jones hit, "Delilah".
Goof: The SEALs said that they were waiting for a group of Rangers which would be making the assault on the house and rescue the the congress person. However Rangers would provide the SEALs cover, not making the rescue.
Lt. Rivers: My mother used to say the stars were holes poked in the black curtain of night. It was God's way of letting us know He was still watching us from the other side.
Harm: That's kind of nice.
Lt. Rivers: Yeah. I did most of my killing at night. Guess it didn't have much influence, huh?
Navy SEAL: We've got no plan and no backup!
Lt. Rivers: This is my plan. (touches his head) This is my backup. (touches his gun)
Bud: (on the phone with Harriet) Really? No, it's just that I heard stiletto heels can be bad for your ankles . . .
(Notices that Harm is standing right next to him)
Bud: Uh, I'll get right on that, Captain Harwick.
(Hangs up)
Harm: Hmm, I didn't know Bruce Harwick wore stiletto heels.
Lt Rivers: If the Navy had wanted me to have a wife, they'd have issued one to me along with my dog tags and sea bag.
Montel Williams, who plays Lt. Rivers, was in both the Marine Corps and the Navy for twenty-two years, including serving on a submarine for three years. He won a number of medals during his Naval service, including the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, two Navy Expeditionary Medals, two Humanitarian Service Medals, a Navy Achievement Medal, two Navy Commendation Medals and two Meritorious Service Medals. His final rank upon leaving the Navy was Lieutenant Commander.

Lt. Rivers refers to himself as a "mustang." This is a military expression for an enlisted person who becomes an officer.
Since they're investigating a possible Medal of Honor award for a Navy SEAL, Bud tells Harm about Senator Bob Kerrey, the first Navy SEAL to receive a Medal of Honor. Senator Kerrey was awarded the Medal for service in Vietnam.
While Lt. Rivers is training the SEAL recruits, he says, "What do you think this is, G.I. Jane?!" G.I. Jane is a movie starring Demi Moore and Viggo Mortensen in which Moore attempts to become the first female Navy SEAL.
