Episode Summary

EDIT
Harm is called in to probe the death of Navy pilot Lt. Marion - son of US Senator Grace Marion - who was killed while training with the Navy SEALs. As he was there only for two days, it seems that the death happened due to gross negligence. With the reports given by his superior and comrades, combined with the results of how he died, the evidence suggests that the actual incident is being covered up. After the JAG officers analyze his equipment and learn that he was on a combat mission (and not a training mission as stated), they suspect murder. And the key to all this could be General Behnke. Locations: Washington D.C.; NAS Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico; Caribbean Sea; Colombia.moreless

      • Goofs: During the conversation with the senator and Meg, Meg points out that the General is in a Black Hawk but when they show the two helicopters in a future scene they are UH1 Hueys and not Black Hawks. Also, SEAL team 2's Area of Operations and specialty is Europe, SEAL team 4's Area of Operations is Central and Southern America.

    • QUOTES (7)

      • Chegwidden: (to Lt Kellogg) I like you, son. Probably going to hang you, but I like you.

      • Harm: Our investigation isn't complete, ma'am.
Senator Marion: You mean your cover-up.
Admiral Chegwidden: My people don't cover, Senator.

      • (Harm restricts the SEALs to quarters)
Lt. Kellogg: Restriction to quarters is for flight risks, Sir.
Harm: SEALs are famous for slipping off into the night.

      • Harm: I guess you really do have to be crazy to be a SEAL.
Lt Kellogg: It's no crazier than ejecting from a cockpit with a rocket up your butt, sir.
Harm: Maybe not, but I only do that when I don't have a choice.

      • Senator: Washington will have your stars for this, Admiral.
Admiral Chegwidden: Well, if anything goes wrong, Lt. Austin's my point of authority, I'll give them her bars.

      • Lt. Kellogg: I don't put speculation in my reports.
Harm: You don't put much of anything in your reports, Lieutenant.

      • Admiral Chegwidden: My name is Admiral Chegwidden. I am the Judge Advocate General. Before I leave this hangar, I will know the why and how of Lt. Douglas Marion's death... or Commander Rabb will have your ass... and I'll own your soul.

    • NOTES (1)

    • ALLUSIONS (1)

      • Lt Kellogg: Who said, 'I will fight no more forever'?

This is part of the surrender speech attributed to the Nez Perce Chief Joseph after his tribe's defeat by the US army. He had attempted to lead his people to escape the US for Canada after the American Government had broken its treaty with his tribe by demanding that the Nez Perce leave their homeland in Oregon and move to a reservation in Idaho. Chief Joseph is renowned as a peacemaker and humanitarian.
