Skates: For a woman to be one of the guys, well, sometimes she has to be willing to give up something of herself. You know, be less of a woman. Sometimes it sucks. (Skates leaves)
Mac: Question is, why should she have to be one of the guys?
(Harm and Mac watch as Bud and Harriet kiss)
Harm: I just had a scary thought.
Mac: Their children?
Harm: Hell, when I crossed the equator, I spent half an hour slow dancing with Bob Fredricks.
Mac: Did you date much afterwards?
Mac: Something tells me that Commander Rabb had his day as a pollywog.
Harm: The first time I crossed the equator, I got hosed, I had to do maybe a thousand sit-ups, I got dunked twice, and I had to crawl through the tunnel of moral courage blindfolded.
Mac: What I wouldn't give to have been there. As an observer of course.
CAG Boone (about flying): Do you miss it?
Harm: Sometimes. Never at night.
CAG Boone: (explaining why he wrote "DNKH" on Lt. Isaacs' flight report) That's a technical one: 'Damn Near Killed Herself.'
