EDIT

"AUGUST 7, 2001" Following the transfer of a U.S. Marine accused of rape from the local Indonesian police to his CO at the Indonesian consulate, the consulate comes under siege by angry, armed locals. When the commander of the Marine detachment is killed and his next-in-command is blinded during the surprise attack, Mac realizes that she is next in command and must organize the emergency evacuation of the consulate under fire. Back at JAG, Harm defends a SEAL accused of killing a person onboard a flight that Harriet was a passenger.

    Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

    FILTER BY TYPE

    • TRIVIA (3)

      • At approximately 12:45 of the non-commercial version of the episode, the ubiquitous J.A.G. crawler reads "1400 ZULU (line) AMERICAN CONSOLATE". The word "CONSULATE" is misspelled; there is no such word as "CONSOLATE".

      • This is another episode that finds Mac & Gunny still serving onboard the carrier USS Guadalcanal in the Indian Ocean.

      • Goof: Harriet has already been promoted to full Lieutenant in episode 6-22 ("Lifeline", about 42 min in the episode) but she appears with shoulder straps of a Lt. JG in the courtroom in this episode.

    • QUOTES (6)

      • Liliana: Women cannot be Marines. Or I have never seen one.
Mac: Well, you've seen one now.

      • Sturgis: Been out jogging, Lieutenant?
Bud: No sir, just ran up the stairs. I'm trying to start slow.

      • Chloe: Where are you? It sounds like you're calling from the moon.
Mac: I'm in the Indian Ocean.
Chloe: Cool. Do you see any Indians? Joke! Bad joke!

      • Lt. Singer: Are you implying that I'm a bad lawyer?
Harm: Just inexperienced, and without wisdom.

      • Harriet: I was dreaming about the child Bud and I lost last year.
Lt. Singer: And how exactly did you lose it?
Harriet: 'It?!' HER name was Sarah, and SHE died in childbirth!

      • Captain Huddleston: So you see, the Navy is good for more than moving our little green friends around, Colonel.
Mac: I have nothing but respect for squids, sir.

    • NOTES (0)

    • ALLUSIONS (2)

      • When Mac calls Chloe, Chloe is excited about going to a concert by boy band N'Sync.

      • Admiral Chegwidden tells Harm that the Navy SEAL "paid the price for doing his duty." In the movie A Few Good Men, Lt. Daniel Kaffee (Tom Cruise) makes a very similar argument when he says that his clients are on trial because "they did their job." John M. Jackson actually had a role in this movie as a Naval officer named Captain West.
