After stealing the jet in Russia, Harm and Mac are shot down, but then saved by a gypsy brother and sister, who help Harm learn the truth about his father.
Harm finally gets to learn the truth about his father. Quite a few things Harm and Mac do are unrealistic, but Harm has a fire in his belly when it comes to his dad and the truth; most children do.
If only every child could learn the truth like Harm did. But there are still many families that know nothing.
I assume Harm Sr. knew that would be considered MIA and his family would hear this and eventually move on. He probably had to do the same.moreless
Episode Summary

Harm and Mac are found by gypsies after being shot down. They continue heading for the gulag where Harm's father escaped from, while evading searches by to ex-KGB agents.
The Russians report that Harm and Mac were killed in a plane crash. Admiral Chegwidden doesn't believe it, and travels to Russia to search for them.

Trivia note: When the ending scene at the airfield was being filmed, (where the Admiral and Webb greet Harm & Mac after Parlovsky is killed) the script called for the Admiral to lay a punch to Webb that knocks him to the ground. However, the scene became a little too "real" as John M. Jackson accidently connected with Steven Culp for real -- with the result of Culp's nose being broken.
