  • i loved it...mostly about mac her love life...part of the drama side of jag rather than the legal

    9.6
i loved it this episode...i love the episodes about the lives of the characters not just fighting it out in the courtroom...it is after all a drama

so anywho in this episode, mac's apartment is trashed and simon appears the brittish agent who became an addict on assignment [from a previous episode] [and incredibly attractive, too bad his not the nicest guy ever]...so mac then finds out that webb may be alive and then endeavours to him find despite being trailed by an assasin...she kinda becomes consumed by her efforts to find webb and gets herself into some trouble...but of corse is saved in the end by none other than harmon rabbmoreless
  • Though it isn't anything I haven't seen before, it was not a typical JAG episode.

    9.0
With no JAG case or a court-martial, this episode was more about Mac's personal side. We see her has had difficult time accepting Webb's death and when she finally has, along comes Tanveer with news that would rock her ordered world. The secondary stroyline, where we have Harm and Budd reviewing JAG instructions, brings a much needed humor element to the episode.

Ed Quinn (Tanveer) makes a remarkably good appearance and Catherine manages to act out most of her scenes in a rather swel way. Adria Tennor (Laurie June) and Steven Culp (Webb) could have done better, though.

Still the unusual concept and Quinn's appearance make it an episode worth watching.moreless

  • TRIVIA (1)

  • QUOTES (5)

    • Webb: Tell me something Kershaw. How can I be who I am and be with her (Mac) at the same time?
Kershaw: When you find out let me know.

    • Sturgis: Webb was CIA, Mac. They have their own way of doing things.
Mac: So what? They just throw a black star up on a wall and call it a day?

    • (After Porter Webb kills "Simon" with three bullets)
Clayton Webb: Two bullets would have done it, Mother.
Porter Webb: I wanted to be sure, Clayton.

    • Mac: It's over with Clay.
Harm: Is that what you want?
Mac: I don't have a clue what I want, I just know what I don't want! I'm tired of dissecting relationships, the minute you start dissecting something the damn thing is dead.
Harm: So don't talk to Clay, talk to me.
      Mac: I appreciate the offer.
      Harm: But?
Mac: There is so much more to talk about than just Webb.
Harm: Well Mac, when you are ready, let me know.
(Harm gets up and walks away from her)

    • (Mac and Webb have been talking for some time)
Mac: For such a smart man, you are really stupid!
Webb: I misjudged you. Don't give up on me yet, Sarah, we could have some kind of a future together.
      Mac: Really, how?
Webb: Stop expecting that I can tell you the truth about what I do. I can't!
Mac: I don't wanna have some kind of future based on lies and deceptions, a desperate housewife waiting for you to come home every night for dinner, wondering when you are late, if your luck finally ran out, if I'm going to get the news of your death, if I should believe it when it comes, I want more than that!
Webb: You risked your life for me, Sarah, twice!
(Mac turns her back to Webb and begins walking)
Mac: Well, there won't be a third time!
Webb: You just going to walk away?
      Mac: You did!

  • NOTES (2)

    • In this episode, Harm is talking to Mac about her medical condition and mentions that he has been reading up on Endometriosis, which is a condition that affects a woman's ability to have children. This implies that she has this condition as opposed to cancer, which was hinted at in the last episode of season 9.

    • With this episode, Zoe McLellan and Scott Lawrence are now being shown in the opening credits, giving them "regular" starring status for the first time.

  • ALLUSIONS (2)

    • The discussion about "Mandelay" reminds Jennifer Coates of the Manderley estate in Daphne du Maurier's novel Rebecca. This was her favorite book growing up and she is able to quote the first lines from memory.

    • In the dialogue between Mac and Webb at Webb's house, she says she doesn't want to be "a desperate housewife." This is in reference to Steven Culp's new show, the ABC drama Desperate Housewives.
