Episode Summary

EDIT

GSgt. Crockett, instructor for snipers at the Boot Camp in Quantico, is scheduled for transfer to Bosnia. But there's a deal existing between him and his former commanding officers which says he won't be used in combat missions any longer. After shooting at the colonel 'to get his attention' he is arrested. Since Crockett once saved Adm. Chegwidden's life, the Admiral orders an investigation to help him this time. But GSgt. Crockett escapes from the brig and hides in the mountains. Some Marines go out to find Crockett, who's a well-trained and experienced sniper. Harm accompanies them. Locations: Quantico, Va.; Washington D.C.

I haven't scene every Jag episode, but quite a few, and this one is one if the best, if not THE best. Stephen McHattie, who plays GunSgt. Ray Crockett, is probably the most underated actor in Hollywood. If you saw him in the epic TV series 'Centennial', back in the '70's, you know I'm right. Also, perhaps his most famous appearance is in the "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" (1993) episode "In the Pale Moonlight", where he plays Romulan Senator Vreenak. That episode is considered by many to be one of Star Trek's finest. In this Jag episode he plays a tough Marine considered the best sniper the Marines ever put out. We also learn a lot about how skilled Harm is, and a brief history of when he sought out his MIA Dad in 1971. Fine acting all the way around.moreless
