  • UFO's? Umm.....NO!

If there is any adult who ever had a huge imagination its Bud! He would win the prize of all prizes for adult imaginations! I dont mean that to sound bad, like only adults should see or hear his imagination, just that he has the imagination of a kid! And I just realized how many times ive said Imagination! lol! Ill stop! This was a good episode! Kind of confusing though! When Harm has woken up from being "beamed" by some ship thingy, that guy thats there does look like a alien! But anyway, this was a very good episode! With lots of comedy from all but especially from Harriet and Bud (as always!)moreless
  • Mac leaves JAG!!

I loved this episode, inspite mac having a development on her relationship with dalton and leaving Jag. The last scene where mac says goodbay to Harm is really touching!!! I loved that everyone gets mad with mac, including Harm : )

I really liked the story about the aircraft, and Bud saying that is was an UFO! Funny!!

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (3)

    • The Marine who first shows Bud and Harm the crash site says twice that the co-pilot "walked away" from the crash. This figure of speech usually refers to someone who is unharmed or has minor injuries. Lt. Flynn has serious injuries that require hospitalization, including leg injuries, so he hasn't exactly walked away from the crash.

    • Mac officially turns in her notice to take Terminal Leave in this episode for the prestige of a civilian law practice.

    • This episode introduces us to Special Agent Clark Palmer of the Defense Security Division. Because of this incident, Palmer becomes obsessed with getting back at Harm, setting the stage for future episodes.

  • QUOTES (16)

    • Harm: Palmer! (Harm punches him, then turns to Col Barrett) I owed him that, Colonel.
Col Barrett: Damn! And we [Marines] get the bad reputation!

    • Bud: You want me to distract the guys that caught us last night- the guys that are authorised to use deadly force?!
Harm: Bud, come on, they may be authorised to use deadly force, but they usually just shoot you in the knees.

    • Harriet: (complaining about Bud) Sometimes I just think he tries a little too hard, that's all. He's an officer and a gentleman to a fault. It's like I'm dating this knight in shining armor.
Mac: What, and that's a bad thing?!
Harriet: Did you ever try to make love to a man wearing armor, Major?
Mac: (looking thoughtful) Does football equipment count?

    • Bud: (when the Admiral says Harriet's coming to JAG) Ensign Sims is a very hot worker... hard worker. She's a very nice girl, sir. She'd be a great asset to JAG, sir.
Chegwidden: Well, it's not her assets I'm concerned with, Lieutenant, it's her boyfriend.
Bud: (jealously) What boyfriend?! (realizing the Admiral means him) Boyfriend! Oh, you mean...! Sir, my relationship with Ensign Sims is strictly professional. I can assure you that we will both conduct our affairs like officers. (rethinking his words) I don't mean affairs affairs, sir, I mean... you know.
Chegwidden: Just don't make me send a chaperone every time you two go to the copy room together.

    • Clark Palmer (to Harm): You've got no proof of anything. This accident was investigated, a cause was determined, and we do not exist.

    • (Preparing to sneak into the Bradenhurst Corporation)
Bud: What do I do if they come back?
Harm: Name, rank and social, Lieutenant.
Bud: Not Bradenhurst, sir, uh . . . (points to the sky)
Harm: Oh. Run like hell. And Bud?
      Bud: Yeah?
Harm: Whatever you do, don't let them probe you.

    • Senator (to Mac): A Marine? I fought with the 7th Infantry in Korea, damn near froze my tail off at Chosin Reservoir, and I don't remember any Marine majors that looked like you.

    • Harm: We were following an unidentified . . . AIRCRAFT, sir, that we believe to have been involved in the crash.
Mac: Unidentified aircraft as in UFO?
Admiral Chegwidden: You're spending too much time in the desert with Lt. Roberts.

    • Harm: I knew it. I knew it was only a matter of time until you started in with the UFOs!
Bud: Sir, until whatever it is that collided with the helicopter is identified, it technically is a UFO.
Harm: Yeah, so is a seagull until they dig his guts out of your engine, Bud.
Bud: Oh, thank you for that very vivid picture, Commander.

    • (Dalton gives Mac a pearl necklace)
      Mac: I can't accept this.
      Dalton: Why not?
Mac: Well, because it's worth more than my car.
Dalton: Mac, my tennis shoes are worth more than your car. They smell better too.

    • Mac: I should be going with you.
Harm: Of course you should. Burning sun, poisonous snakes, stinging scorpions... it's a Club Med for Marines.

    • Harm: A Marine helicopter crashed on a Marine base, what the hell does this have to do with the Defense Security Division?
Colonel Barrett: You have a reputation of being quite the pit bull when you want something.
Harm: Well, I like to think of myself . . .
Colonel Barrett: I like pit bulls, Commander. What I don't like is a bunch of Washington pencil necks coming into my backyard and dumping into my sandbox! One of my Marines died out there, Commander, and I want to know why, I want to know how, and I want to know now. And if Congress has a problem with that, then they can just come down here and kiss my Marine green butt.
      Harm (happily): Yes, sir.

    • Harm: What are you gonna do, shoot me?
Clark Palmer: I am AUTHORIZED to use deadly force, Commander! At least read the signs!

    • Harm: (after his tires are shot out) I'd have got away if this thing had afterburners!

    • Clark Palmer: (As Harm regains consciousness) How are you feeling, Commander?
Harm: Ohhh. Like six feet of well-used latrine.

    • Clark Palmer: (to Harm) You were trespassing, AGAIN. Listen, when DID 'top secret' become 'everybody's business'?
