In a cut-over scene to the USS Seahawk, the carrier shown was CV-59. This is the USS Forrestal. This archive footage was taken previous to Desert Storm '91 as it depicts A-7 Corsair IIs on the flight deck. The last A-7 operational deployments were squadrons VA-72 and VA-46 aboard the USS John F. Kennedy (CV-67) for Desert Shield/Desert Storm.
Harm and Mac have been stranded outside for the night and forced to "share body heat" before; the same thing happened during the episode "Full Engagement".
Goof: When Harm is ejected from the jeep after the mine explosion, his hat is on his head after he lands, but in the next scene, it shows his hat situated on the ground between the jeep & him.
Goof: Lt. Singer is wearing the wrong epaulets (shoulder boards). She is wearing the epaulets with a star on it instead of the legal emblem.
The hull number shown for the USS Seahawk shown in this episode was "74" (in real life, the USS John C. Stennis), however, JAG has always used that hull number to refer to the show's 'other carrier', the USS Patrick Henry.
Coates: Are the prisoners they're bringing aboard Al-Qaeda sir?
Bud: Two members of the cell captured in eastern Afghanistan.
Coates: Are we supposed to interrogate them sir?
Bud: No, just observe.
Coates: What sir?
Bud: Standards of protocol, state of the prisoners.
Coates: What do you say we just ignore all that and beat the crap out of them?
Bud: Because we'll be too busy preventing everyone else from doing that Petty Officer.
Coates: Have you ever met anyone like yourself Lieutenant?
Bud: Don't think so.
Coates: Well if you do and he's single, will you let me know?
Gunny: Just hear me out...
Webb: Not interested!
(Gunny punches Webb in the face)
Gunny: Now do I have your attention Mr Webb?!
(Webb punches Gunny in the face)
Webb: Yes!
(Stranded outside at night)
Harm: The temperature is going to continue to drop, so unless we share body heat, we're risking hypothermia.
Mac: You make it sound so inviting.
Harm: You wanted an invitation?
Mac: Yes.
Harm: Why don't you come over here, it's safer than sleeping with scorpions.
Bud: You were educated in the US. What happened to you?
Terror Suspect: I learned to love Allah.
Bud: Allah does not advocate killing those who disagree with you.
Lt Cmdr Coulter: (doing DNA tests) For all I know, one of these could be bin Laden.
Harm: (about Victor Galindez) Two senior JAG officers investigating someone they know is going to raise flags.
SecNav Nelson: I trust you can lower them, Commander.
Clayton Webb: (quoting a song from Guatemala) 'Our love is the child of a cruel father.'
International Episode Titles:
Czech Republic: V cizi zemi (In a Foreign Country)
We are shown once again how much of a fan of Star Trek Bud is when he questions a terrorist suspect. The terrorist informs Bud that the US should be upholding the prime directive, while Bud reminds him of the Vulcan IDIC: "Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations". Since Paramount owns both Star Trek & JAG, it was very easy, legally, to incorporate the references into the script.
