The caps worn by sailors on ships, always have the name of the ship, along with the hull number. However, the caps worn by the crew of the USS Reprisal was "CVN-35", where the hull number of the ship they used "69".
Mr Kitamura: (when Harm tries to interfere with his defense strategy) Don't you understand?! It is the United States Navy, not Ensign Guitry who is on trial here! You just gave them a gift.
Admiral Fessenden: A junior officer with a wiggle in his pants is about to compromise fifty years of US-Japanese military cooperation!
Admiral Chegwidden: Lt. Commander Rabb. As you know, I've always been open to respectful disagreement. You ever badger me like that again and I'll supervise your ass out of Washington.
Harm: Yes, sir!
Admiral Chegwidden: You have a problem, Commander?
Harm: Well, for the first time it feels like you don't trust us.
Admiral Chegwidden: The issue is not about trust, but responsibility, and I'm taking it.
Harm: Why, sir?
Admiral Chegwidden: (screaming) Because I can!
The pavilion where Harm goes to speak privately with Jun Higashimori is the same one that was used by Cmdr Krennick and Lt Austin for a clandestine meeting with a Chinese informant in the first season episode "The Prisoner".
Sean Murray (Ensign Guiltry) is JAG creator Donald Bellisario's step-son. Sean's mother and Donald married in 1998.
Actor Sean Murray will later return in a new role as the son of a love interest of Admiral Chegwidden in Season five and six.
The actual carrier shown in this episode, hull number 69, is the Navy's Nimitz-class carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower. It was commissioned in 18 October, 1977 and still an active carrier.
The sailors caps, listed the Reprisal's Hull as CVN-35, which in real life was not a Nimitz-class carrier, in fact it wasn't ANY carrier. Carrier hull number 35 was going to be named the USS Reprisal, but its construction was halted after it was 53% completed. It was then sold as scrap in 1949.
