"Admiral Guter" is played by Rear Adm. Donald Guter, who was not an actor. At the time he was the U.S. Navy's Judge Advocate General. He served as USN JAG from 2000 to 2002. Gruter, Mac and Chegwidden were discussing the benefits of being in the USN JAG. His final line to Chegwidden was this: "A.J., you couldn't pay me enough to be the Navy JAG."
Guter's appearance was not credited.
