Episode Summary

EDIT

During a test flight, Lt. Pendry has a deadly crash with his Tomcat. Harm and Meg are ordered to probe this case and the facts point at a pilot error and not at a system malfunction. Though Pendry was a risky flying pilot, Harm knows him quite well from his flying days and doesn't believe he would be reckless enough to cause a crash, particularly since he has a family. Locations: Miramar Naval Air Station; San Diego/area and off-coast.

IMHO this is the best episode so far. The early episodes were not the best but this one is pretty good. Everytime Harm gets in his Tomcat is a plus. Good story and a lot of flying

    • Lt McKee: Marines! You know, they're they only species on the planet that would develop a crush on you when you punch them out!

    • Marine: (as a photo of Lt Pendry is hung in the Officers Club) All a flyboy's got to do to get up on that wall is screw the pooch. (Lt McKee punches him)
Harm: (getting between them) Sorry. She was his wing man.
Marine: Well, she's acting like she was more than just his wing man! (she punches him again, and he punches Harm)
Harm: What the hell was that for?!
Marine: (indignantly) I don't hit women!

    • Harm: Sorry we're late, sir, we were misdirected.
Reed: Is that a pilots way of saying lost, Lieutenant?
Harm: Pilots don't get lost Mr. Reed, they're momentarily disoriented.
