AIRED:
Harm and Mac find themselves courtroom adversaries when Mac is assigned to defend an admitted wife abuser whom Harm is prosecuting for the murder of his wife's boyfriend. Mac finds herself detesting the man whom she is supposed to be defending -- a man who reminds her all too well of her abusive father. Meaning well, Harm advises Mac that she's letting her personal feelings get in the way of her professional duties, but the advice enrages Mac and she takes out her anger on Harm as well as her client.moreless

Mac: We say something's in the past, but it never really is. I carry my dad with me, everywhere I go.
Harm: That's okay, as long as he doesn't weigh too much.
(They both smile)
Mac: He doesn't. Not any more. -
(In court)
Holtz: Do something!
Mac: WHAT?
Holtz: Object!
Mac: On what grounds? I'm not a magician, Chief. I can't make a murder go away. -
Bud: If this is what being a lawyer is all about, you can have it because being a lawyer sucks!
