The therapy session between Mac and Lt. Commander McCool, the Navy shrink, was some of the best writing ever broadcast on commercial television, and rivals the therapy sessions between Tony Soprano and Dr. Melfi in "The Sopranos."
It was so much better than the episodes excusing the murder of non-combatants in foreign nations as "collateral damage."
AIRED:
It's Christmas Eve. Col. MacKenzie crashes her car on the way home, and while unconscious through a series of episode flashbacks and discussions with a base therapist deals with many of her issues including infertility, insomnia, loneliness, Webb, and Harm.

The psychiatrist tells Mac to "embrace the lessons of every challenge and expect good from everything that seems bad", just like the man on the radio had been telling the lady on the radio, just before Mac crashed the car.

Goof: Col. Mackenzie gets into a car accident Dec. 24 (Christmas Eve) at 23:53 Zulu, the military equivalent of GMT. Then later when Harm is rushing to the hospital, it's said to be Dec. 24 at 01:11 Zulu. However, it should say 01:11 Zulu Dec. 25, since it's now the next day, Zulu time or otherwise.
