  • Harm, Mac, and Bud are getting the job done!

    9.0
This is the get Clayton Webb episode and it is great! Webb gets caught with his operational paints down by the Colombian drug lord and doesn't even know it. He gets captured, thinks so highly of himself he doesn't recognize a rescue attempt, and has to apology to Marine Cpl. Cordoba. Finally, Bud gets to stand right beside Webb while he "attempts" to apologize.

OK, Clayton isn't such a bad guy, especially for a CIA operative. He has needed some chopping at, though, because of his attitude this season. He has been under estimating or discounting Bud, Harm, and the military. I'd add Mac but even now he respecting her. I wonder if the writers were even now working on Mac-Webb romance.

Liking Webb in many ways is a guilty pleasure I enjoy.moreless
  • Good episode!

    8.9
This was a good episode! I enjoyed it alot! I think there was alot of character developement for Mr.Webb! I would recommend this episode to anyone! I think it is very exciting and informative! Although it is not one of my favorite episodes it is still a very good one! Probably one of my top 80 episodes! I think for this to be the second season of the show that they did really well! It wasnt like a whole,"Lets gather around a campfire and learn our stories" type thing! They started the show off strong and kept it that way! So this was a good episode! Any JAG fan would enjoy it!moreless
  • Why I watch this show!

    9.5
We see the "three muskateers" as Webb says come to the resue in Columbia again.

An excellent plot with the capture of Special Agent Clayton Webb, who seemed to be in good spirits. Throughout we see Bud as usual trying to be like Harm, for example smoking a cigar and talking like Harm over the phone. This is one of my favourite chareceristics of Bud, and why he seems so adorable in the eariler episodes! The final scene I also found rather entertaining, with Webb unable to apologise to the Corporal for being wrong in his allegations, and its a shame that the charecter of Webb was changed later during the show.

A classic line was also delivered by Harm/Mac

"You know what they say about dress whites and gold wings.."

"Very overrated" All in all a classic episode I could watch again and again.moreless
  • The good old days...

    8.0
It's always fun to watch reruns and it's especially great to go back to the very beginning of a show's exsistance. This episode was priceless. Mac's insistance that they not leave the dead Marine's body was great. That passion fizzled out a bit in the more recent episodes. The Clay and Mac antagonism...hehe that was so cool. I never really like Webb so to see Mac throw stuff in his face, oh so cool! I loved the scene with Harm and Mac on the stairs when they're telling Bud about the leak in the embassy. The way Mac said "Thank you Harm" it made me smile, they were dancing the dance even back then. I'd forgotten about that. Webb trying to apologize to the Marine at the end was the best part of the whole episode. He couldn't do it!moreless

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • Goof: When Mac is in Harm's room and they are talking about Webb, the second time you can see the mirror, you can also see a man dressed in tropical clothes, and it's not an actor.

  • QUOTES (4)

    • Sr. Estruga: I have contemplated becoming a lawyer myself.
      Harm: Perhaps you should have.
Sr. Estruga: No, they have to associate with criminals.

    • Harm: Taking the blame, Webb? How unlike you!
Webb: If I hadn't involved the Marines, my ass would not be hanging over a very deep chasm right now! (turning to Mac) No offense, Major.
Mac: None taken. I hang asses frequently in my profession.

    • Webb: With any luck, you'll be out of here by morning, which I'm sure will please us all.
Harm: Especially Admiral Chegwidden, who, by the way, sends his regards.
Webb: Cut the crap, Commander. Admiral Chegwidden thinks I'm a pain in the ass bureaucrat who never should have involved the Marines in the first place.

    • Mac: What they say about dress whites and gold wings...
      Harm: Yeah?
      Mac: Very overrated.
