When we see Ensign Harriet Sims for the first time in the JAG office, she is seen to wear the Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbon and the National Defense Service Ribbon. However in later episodes she no longer has the Navy Sea Service medal. The Sea Service Deployment Ribbon is awarded to all naval personnel who serve 90 consecutive days of sea duty, or two periods of at least 80 days. Harriet must not have spent 90 days on the Seahawk before she was reassigned.

Ensign Harriet Sims was re-assigned to Norfolk from the USS Seahawk ("Chains of Command") in this episode. Her new position is now the Assistant to the Pubic Information Officer. This allows her romance with Bud to flourish, after a rocky beginning.

Alexandra says that one of the Secret Service agents is probably fantasizing that he's actor Clint Eastwood. Clint Eastwood played a Secret Service agent in the 1993 movie In The Line Of Fire.
