It's clear that the reason that Jamie is getting so much trouble from the L.A. school board is that they (or more likely the superintendent Ramon Cortines) are/is getting kick-backs from the junk-food companies. Sure, you can argue that maybe he's just upset that the show is making them look bad, but it's much more likely that he's getting money from the company to keep them as the provider. Why else would he push back so hard against the public, the students, the teachers, the parents, and everybody else to prevent the kids getting healthy food at school? Money.
