Jason and the Argonauts is the TV movie loosely based on the Greek myth of the same name. The series brings to life one of the most legendary adventures in mythology, as one man goes on a mission to retrieve a gift from the gods. When soldiers invade Iolcus, King Aeson is killed by his brother Pelias, and Aeson's son Jason is witness. We join Jason in adulthood, as he is ordered by his uncle, King Pelias, to retrieve the golden fleece of the gold-haired winged ram. Jason gathers a crew to help him, including shepherds, farmers, Hercules, Orpheus, Atalanta, and brothers Castor and Pollux. They head out to find and bring back the fleece, experiencing adventures and hardships along the way. In their travels they come across the sea god Poseidon, the warrior women of the Isle of Lemnos and much more. The movie stars Jason London as Jason, and features Dennis Hopper as Pelias.
