    Does anyone have any suggestions for other post-apocalyptic tv-series or movies.

    You could always try Mad Max. Or maybe Cherry 2000. Don't know how good they are, but they are postapocalyptic. Hmm. There's always stuff like Cleopatra 2525 which is kinda hilarious. Not sure if I'd call that one postapocalyptic though.

    Adding to the list: * Escape from New York * Escape from L.A.
    * Bladerunner

    I think that's about it. Will ponder some more.

    my top post apocalyptic picks would have to be

    DARK ANGEL-its backround is the year 2019,after america is hit by a nucleur pulse.starring jessica alba.

    THE TRIBE-this is the show that jeremiah copied off of.if you look at the backdrop they are the same(only jeremiah is 15 years after the virus)where the tribe starts immediatly after all the grownups are dead.leaving only kids.the show is catagorized as a kids program but it really isnt.inless you want your 6 yearold learning about ;rape,teen pregnancy,mass hysteria,e ct.,ITS REALLY A GREAT SHOW ITS KINDA LIKE A MILD-LANGUAGE VERSION OF JEREMIAH!!!

    Unlikely that Jeremiah was copied from The Tribe as the comic version of Jeremiah was started in 1979 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeremiah_(comic)). The Tribe is much more like "Lord of the Flies" which is where all these stories of the "young 'uns" trying to set up their own society are spawned from.....

    * The Last Train

    Which is a pretty good British post-apocalyptic drama. Six episodes, from the 1990s.

    Anyone remember Survivors - a 70s show? Most of the Earth's population was wiped out by a virus, which started in a lab.

    Jeremiah is very similar (maybe based on) a book by John Christopher (who wrote the Tripod trilogy) written in the late '70s called "Empty World." In that book a virus from India spreads and kills everyone over 16. A 14 year old boy travels from his town to London to look for people that have survived. Great book, by the way.
