On the cbs board there is a large consesus that we should boycott cbs...do not watch any of their new shows or old shows or local news.  A couple of people have locked it out of their cable box so the kids won't either.

I am joining them.  We tried very hard to change their minds.  CBS likely never really considered renewal.  We were ignored.  The ratings dipped not because viewers didn't like it but they had a long break and then put it up against American Idol.  But they did not take any of this into consideration and did not give it a reasonable chance at a time without AI, which will keep killing off whatever is against it.

We need to let CBS and indirectly other networks know that without us they wouldn't have advertisers, and stand by our guns.  For a lot of us it might be really easy since the rest of the schedule is forgetable, but email CBS (feedback, bottom of their site cbs.com) and tell them that you we will not watch their stuff if they ignore ours.

exactly. i did the same thing. Why would anyone bother to watch their shows? all they have told us is that they dont care about ratings or fans so why fall in love with a nother show knowing they may randomly decide it wasnt what they wanted so they can put on a Hugh jackman musical or a show about swingers in the 70's (and thats just two of the shows they decided to pick up when they cancelled jericho!)

Pshh..not gonna be a problem. Jericho was the only show on CBS that I watched anyway. They've become a second tier station in ranks with the CW and WB network. The big 3 are Fox, NBC and ABC.

i dunno i would love to see someone defend CBS pulling moves like ending this show but putting a hugh jackman MUSICAL. If jericho didnt get the demo they were going after do they really think that sounds like a better idea? The only thing i will miss about not watching CBS are the great announcing for football games. oh wait thats right they manage to screw that up as well

It's a vicious circle for the TV stations now. Ordering a drama is a massive risk as viewers are now going to be shy to invest regular time watching a show that could be pulled at anytime. In hindsight if I knew Jericho was going to end the way it did then I would never have bothered to start watching it. As a result of this in the future I will be more inclined to only watch a show after the entire series has concluded and I can watch the story evolve from beginning to end. Anything other than this then I am not interested as life is way too short wasting it on deadwood.

I see they've ordered a show about vampires of all things. That show will get 4.0 ratings at best.

Actually its zombies trying to live a normal life.  I'd say more like 2.0 at best.  Is this the percieved level of intelligence they have.

Well, we all know that zombies will appear before a nuclear terrorist attack(even though zombies cannot exist and nukes have been detonated thousands of times on Earth).

So, CBS has all of Saturday night devoted to "drama series repeats". Wouldn't you think they could have given Jericho at least another 13 episodes and put it on Saturday night? Wouldn't that have generated better ratings than "drama seriese repeats"? What happened to Babylon Fields? I'm not sure it's the type of zombie series I'd like to see, but at least it was something different.

A boycott wouldn't be that tough for me, Jericho was the only show of theirs that I have watched in several years. I've never liked any reality television show except for the home improvement shows on DIY. And I think that all of the crime dramas on CBS are sub-standard at best.

A boycott isn't too hard for me either.  Jericho was pretty much the only show on CBS that I watch.  I got tired of the whole CSI/NCIS and other legal/crime/forensic shows long ago.  The only reason I watched Criminal Minds was because it was on right after Jericho.

I will no longer support CBS or their products with the exception of a Jericho DVD set.  That I will purchase.  I was planning on buying my brother  in law all of the CSI series DVDs for his birthday, but I won't do that now.  CBS isn't getting another penny from me after I get my Jericho DVDs.

Count me in. They got rid of one of the best dramas of the year and replace it with a crappy Survivor rip-off.
