    Jerichon Reunion Chat

    From jjb_md at RFJ:

    Hi everyone. J.J. here.

I cannot believe that JERICHON 2008 was a year ago. I met a lot of interesting, intriguing people and made some strange but welcome friends. That weekend was a singular event in my life, and an experience I was glad to have shared with many of you. In fact, just being a part of the whole Jericho fandom has truly been a remarkable experience.

I know a lot of people have wandered off, gone on to other things, or just been consumed by Real Life -- but I thought it would be fun to try to reconnect and recapture some of that fun. (Yes, I can be sentimental and nostalgic.)

So -- whether you were actually at Jerichon or not, you are cordially invited to a Reunion Chat on Sunday, May 24, starting at 9 p.m. Eastern. Stop in earlier, if you can, for the weekly Jericho rewatch on The CW Network at 7 p.m. Eastern (subject to scheduling changes). Come by to say hello, tell us what you're doing these days, toast the TV show that brought us together, and have a few laughs.

    http://www.radiofreejericho.com/chat.html

    Hope to see you there!

    Jericho Fandom Plan of Action

    From Redsox at UHD:

    http://boards.nbcuni.com/universalHD/index.php?showtopic=3410&st=0#entry5609

    Date 5/21/09

    Hello Fellow Rangers:

Hope you are all enjoying Spring. I just survived several days of monsoons in Orlando, Florida.

    Don't forget
our get together at 11:00pm EST this Friday, May 22, 2009 at UHD Board-Sportsman Lodge, bring some stories and some booze, the bar is empty. http://boards.nbcuni.com/universalHD/index.php?showtopic=3379

Countdown clock-Is it related to movie release date?

Possibly there is some real information we are looking at regarding the movie. In the Jericho Movie in Development Thread started by Norsu on the UHD Board, http://boards.nbcuni.com/universalHD/index.php?showtopic=3384

Arrowkeeper who was instrumental in the ARG game that was put together mentioned the countdown clock that was put there http://comlink1.synthasite.com/priority.php.

Well it is still there and continues to count down with a date of June 24, 2010 which is a Thursday. This may be related to the release date for the movie. We think it is relevant and may also be tied in with the comic book and epix.

Latest on Epix-http://www.videobusiness.com/article/CA6659176.html Netflix, which last October reached an agreement to stream from the 2,500 titles in the "Starz Play" broadband-subscription service, is looking to further boost its digital inventory by reaching agreements with such distributors as the Epix Channel, which Viacom, MGM and Lionsgate are set to launch later this year, McCarthy said. Ratkeeper and I both believe that Epix is the key for the movie and the possibility for a season 3. We need to continue to lobby them. Contact info below.

The television industry is trying to look beyond Nielsens, survey from Optimedia U.S. article from NY Times curtsey of K6. Our Jericho was rated 25th. From the article: The idea that engagement in a show is just as important as the rating number it notches is becoming increasingly popular among agencies and advertisers. We have and continue to make a difference. http://boards.nbcuni.com/universalHD/index.php?showtopic=3397

Our goal over the next few months is to maintain and grow our community and to continue to spread the word about Jericho. I will be collecting placards, bumper-stickers etc from other threads and placing them in this thread. We need to grow the fan base especially in the 18-39 demographic which we will need to sell the comic book and get the movie made. Tim over at Facebook wants to get more engaged and I will support his efforts. He has over 10,000 members and we need to grow that significantly by the Fall.

    Things to do:

July 23-26-Comic Con in San Diego: it is possible that they make an
announcement regarding the comic book and/or movie release as that is the
largest convention of its type for the year. You can look at to see if there
is a convention near you here: http://www.comicbookconventions.com/conventions.htm

When the comic book date is announced we will need to get our own press release ready to go out and to make sure we reach out to the social networks we are continuing to maintain.

Write to Devils Due about the comic Book. Norsu sent a batch of nuts that got a good response.

    New address:

    Devil's Due Publishing

    2217 W. Roscoe St.,
    1st Floor,

    Chicago, IL 60618.

Movie/Season 3: epix, Comcast and Paramount: we are asking everyone to pitch in for something fun, we are going to try and see if we can find any information on the upcoming Jericho movie online. So far no one can locate anything except Norsu found http://www.jerichomovie.com/ which has a Jericho place holder picture.

Our guess is like Firefly did with Serenity, they writers and producers may give the project a non Jericho name. Lets see if anyone can find out some information. As the writers are big on WWII and history in general maybe we should look for clues from the episodes and try doing our research.

Local Gatherings: K6, Ratkeeper have already organized several California get togethers. We are planning on an east Coast get together hopefully in the Baltimore area for late summer/early Fall. Mpnice is looking to continue her group in Ohio. Hopefully others will get together locally over the next several months and into the Fall.

Project Greenlight: From NorsU: We are working on creating a cool Movie/green light one pager PIC that we can mail or Efax to Junction. They will get a hoot out of us still being here for them http://boards.nbcuni.com/universalHD/index.php?showtopic=3406

Behind the scenes plans may be underway for a friendly Nutty shelling Jon T and Junction (Karim Zreik / Dan Shotz)

    500 South Buena Vista St.
    Animation Bldg.
    Burbank, CA 91521-1616
    Phone: 818-560-2800
    Fax: 818-841-3176

NorsU is correct we need to continue to let these people know we are still here and that Jericho is still a viable commodity. We need to continue to write: a post card and/or email lets them know we are here:

Harper's Island, Junction Entertainment's other series, is on Saturday, May 23rd at 9 pm on CBS. Remember to send feedback to CBS: http://www.cbs.com/info/user_services/fb_global_form.php

    Cast News:

As most of you know Jon Steinberg's pilot, Human Target, was picked up by Fox. Carol Barbee's pilot, Three Rivers, was picked up by CBS.

Back with Skeet Ulrich (Jake) and US Attorney with Lennie James (Hawkins) did not make it onto the fall schedule.

The Forgotten was picked up by ABC and Bob Stephenson (Jimmy Taylor) will be playing Walter Bailey. That certainly was a nice birthday gift for Bob! http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/content_display/television/news/e3i505437152ed7136725861afcec9790a6

Happy Birthday to Carol Barbee (5/22)!

    Apocalyptic News:

Terminator Salvation is now playing at a theater near you.

    Tim Burton's 9 has a new trailer out: http://www.filmofilia.com/2009/05/20/9-new-trailer/ A animated post-apocalyptic film - how interesting. Opening date: 9-9-09
