Season 2 Episode 6

Aired Tuesday 10:00 PM Mar 18, 2008 on CBS

  • Trivia

    • When the A.S troops unload from the trucks to occupy Jericho, whe can see amidst the marching troops Jon Turteltaub, the serie producer, wearing an Army uniform with his name on the chest.

    • This is the first episode soldiers are wearing A.S. ARMY tags instead of U.S. Army. Many of the badges have changes also, and are similar to current U.S. standards. The subdued flag is now worn on the right arm while the unit patch is also subdued on the left arm. It is interesting to note that no Soldiers are wearing combat badges. Jericho is set after or during Operation Iraqi and Enduring Freedom, so any veterans of that war should be wearing unit patches on their right arm indicating the units they've served with overseas. If the 10th Mountain Division has been maintained, one would assume prior service be respected under the new government.

    • The Morse Code in the title is:

    • When the A.S Army convoy with gas, guns and ammo is hit by the Rangers, Bill (Richard Speight Jr.) is wearing a military uniform with the name Muck, the same name as the character he plays in the miniseries Band of Brothers, Sgt. Warren 'Skip' Muck.

  • Quotes

    • Beck: (to Jake) Whatever happens from here on out, never forget, you caused it.

    • Soldier: Major, there's a locked door in the kitchen.
Mary: It's a pantry! There's nothing in there but peanuts and pretzels.
Beck: Either you open it or we ruin a perfectly good door.

    • Beck: The Rangers are now considered fugitives. I want all of them.
      Jake: Good luck finding them.
Beck: Until they're produced I'm declaring Jericho to be in a state of open insurrection. Lights, power, food supplies... 9 pm tonight, I'm shutting it all down.
Jake: We've lived without that stuff before; we'll do it again.

    • Darcy: (about the bomb) Tell me you have some brilliant plan, Robert, to get that thing all the way to Texas with no one checking your trunk. (he unzips his jacket to show JR shirt) You stole a shirt? That's your plan?
Hawkins: No, stole a truck, too.

    • Beck: (about capturing the Rangers) How long and how much this town suffers is up to its citizens. Somebody knows where those men are.
Heather: The Rangers were saving lives back when you couldn't have found Jericho on a map.

    • Heather: (to Beck) You remember the question you asked when you offered me this job and I didn't want it? You asked me if I couldn't tell the difference between you and Phil Constantino. Right now I can't.
Beck: Then help me. Talk to Jake yourself. Get him to realize what he's doing to this town.
Heather: You've had him in custody for three days. He's not doing this. You are.

    • Jake: Explain this to me. I hurt everybody that was ever close to me and I get a second chance. Stanley never hurt a soul in his life...
      Grandpa: And he lost everything.
      Jake: How is that right?
      Grandpa: Life doesn't...
Jake: on a balance sheet, I know. But it should.

    • Jake: (about Beck) I don't even know where to start with him and he's too stubborn to listen.
Grandpa: Your father said that about you once. You turned out real nice.

    • Stanley: He looked at me and I remember thinking to myself, this... this is just some guy. I mean, all the build up; tracking down Goetz, Goetz the killer. He was just some guy. Everything, everything just washed out of me. I wasn't scared, I wasn't angry. I just pulled the trigger.

    • Beck: They didn't have to do what I'm doing. Stopping Americans from killing Americans. Putting a country back on its feet.
Jake: (laughs bitterly) Open your eyes. It's not a country, it's a company. And you're just middle management.

    • Jake: It's my fault. No one else's. I'm the sheriff. I...
      Beck You were sheriff.
Jake I'm the only one to blame. The only one, so my terms are simple. My surrender for the amnesty of the other Rangers.
Beck: I accept your surrender. (Pauses) But not the terms.
