Show Summary

Jerry Visits was a 30-minute interview news program hosted by celebrated California newscaster, Jerry Dunphy. The series, which ran from 1971-1973, found Dunphy interviewing a wide spectrum of celebrities ranging from pop stars to actors. Some of the most notable names to appear on his program include The Carpenters, Michael Landon and Zsa Zsa Gabor. After the show was cancelled in 1973, Dunphy focused solely on hard news and became one of the first newscasters in the country to interview President Richard Nixon after his resignation in 1974.
