  • You'd think a city full of theives would be more exciting.

    8.7
In the first episode of KoBJ, Jing and Kir arrive at the Capital of thieves, the home of all devious criminals. Jing is there only to look for the double mermaid. This episode was very average, and not much happened. The double mermaid turned out to be an old lady who Kir had hasseled, and her daughter. Everyone in the capital of theives wants to get at the treasure of the double mermaid, including the big, yet obnoxious Vodka. He and his men come up with a few "bright" ideas, but they all fail. Jing is the only one smart enough to reach the double mermaid. The Capital Of Theives was a good episode, but wasn't as exciting as other episodes.moreless

    • The manga protrayed this episode slightly differently. Here are the differences in the manga:

      1. Cognac already knew Jing was the Badit King from the beginning.
      2. Vodka tries to enter the tower twice and fails.
      3. Postino never appears.
      4. In order to get the bird-thing to fly, Jing had Kir steal the egg and fly to the top.
      5. The old lady (Cidre's mother) never accompanied Jing to the top.
      6. Jing's battle with Cognac's ogre was longer.
      7. Cidre was never crystallized.
      8. Vodka, his men, and the old lady all show up at the top in the end.
      9. Vodka finds out Jing is the Bandit King.
      10. Jing doesn't get a crystal tear from Cidre. Instead, he just remembers his own mother and takes all of Cognac's stuff.
